Vulva Size Matters

 Vulva Size Matters

You love me for my vulva -
the way it welcomes you,
hugs, incites you. I
thought you loved me for my
personality, my brains, my height,
my humour, my brains, my
impetuosity, my brains, my goodness.

It seems our eyes met
across a crowded Wal-Mart -
you were sizing up my vulva.
Your eyes were black with tragedy.
Then I sized up your height, your
jeans – the way they nuzzled your
body- your crotch, your ass,
the size of your feet, the length
of your fingers – how they
detonated my imagination. When
you spoke I had the impression
you had brains, humour, personality,
impetuosity, goodness – did I mention
brains? I hate talking down to
a good-looking dangerous man, the
man of my dreams, the man of my
schemes, the man in my bed being
hugged by my vulva, massaged,
hugged and evicted by my vulva and
you make a tent under the sheets.

Damn woman, no one else on

Damn woman, no one else on earth writes the art of sex like you do. I should be so lucky to have a man elicit such words from me. I can't do it all by myself, just playing in my head. Tent of dreams indeed. I wrote a poem called that once. ~A Don’t let your victories go to your head, or your failures go to your heart.

Vuvla Size Matter

greeting kailashana! thank you for your comments. i had a lot of fun writing this poem because it's really a taboo topic and i love pushing that taboo envelope. i wrote this poem in a busy coffeeshop where the coffee is pedestrian. nonetheless, i like parking myself in the midst of the murmuring and writing poetry and especially this poem -it was kind of a clandestine experience. many of the customers have seen me there many times but we never speak so they have no idea what i am thinking about and what i am doing. but, for your information, every age of vulva was represented in that establishment! ciao olya

gretings, kaligantsaros! thank you for your comments - especially reading a male's perspective. i think it is courageous of you. i think men and women are really at odds when it comes to sexual matters. so many aspects are unknown by either gender. i was thinking of writing about this topic for a while now. i felt it was important to use a balanced approach -- that men desire and women desire and that lust is an important aspect of love. afterall, objectification is the first aspect of seeing or meeting someone. that doesn't sound pretty, but is the automatic reflex. bonsoir olya

If we were to get technical,

If we were to get technical, it would be the mouth of our (a woman's)dark, unexplored womb that entices and attends to the organization and welcoming committee, as it were. As such, as many different men and women exist, each will make & have their own pleasures, Kal. That's why it's called *self-respect*. A Don’t let your victories go to your head, or your failures go to your heart.

greetings, kailashana! thank you for your comments. women and girls are intensely deep, dark, mysterious beings. this has been my experience in life. Men and boys ponder these mysteries. adieu olya

Sexual Parts

I'm not fond of references to sexual parts (not to mention fluids)in poems; but I find this a most amusing write! :-,?

gretings, ron graber! thank you for your comment. i was interested that you found this poem humourous. i certainly didn't approach that way. anyway, once a poem goes out into the world it is up for grabs as to meaning etc. thanks. olya

Lovely

I just noticed the wonderful flow of repeated consonants in the opening line. I also note that "vul" is "luv" backwards; and that "luvly" with the consonants reversed is "vulvy," which is very close to "vulva," isn't it? :-,? (User is puffingly smugly on his pipe--a bent briar it would appear...)

Olya...

Greetings to you... I love the title, how could it not draw me in for the fantastic poem pouring underneath it. A play on our words, we often hear about size matters, but you took it to the next level, not only courageous but downright smart. The initial meeting was described with reality, as is the entire poem. I can almost see you there at the coffee shop, with your secret spurring from your pen's determined unleashing... great poem! Richard ps... love your painting

greetings, richard! thanks for parachuting into my neck of the woods. as always, i appreciate your comments. as i mentioned earlier (look up, way up), i enjoyed writing this piece and was spurred on by somekind of devil may care attitude. i never think about the kind of criticism i may acquire along the way - you just cannot make art that way. a few years ago i wrote a story called "bungalows of love" and it also stemmed from sitting in tim hortons (a different location, though) and that one was about my literal point of view when i sat in a certain chair. i could see a whole row of male crotches across the way and each one was different and somehow sad. my sister once read the piece at literary and tango event my friend, halia, and i had put together. after the reading, very many women came up to yaroslava (sister) to talk to her about it. it was interesting. my sister was thrilled with the attention she was getting and i was interested that this story impacted a decidedly female group of listeners.

a warrm welcome

I just joined the forum and this is the first poem that I viewed. A bold piece of work. Sexual content deserves honesty and vivid presentation. It moved me in both organs that require blood to function interpretively. Now I must go I believe I will visit wal- mart and hang for awhile.

Excellent poem

I love the honesty in this write, it is humourous enough to allow truth to intigrate with the subject matter. I found myself nodding to the shoe size and length of fingers, we do as women look for many of the markers in a man that men alone feel they do with 'eyeing up' women. The writing and posting of this has produced many honest responses too, well done. Seabhac
