In Prayer

I implore you , to hear , this my prayer

Not for myself , but someone near

My Guardian spirit I call you in

I loved in life , and soiled in sin

I kneel before you , my world in a spin

Supplicate I can , beg If I must

In you I leave all my trust

leave my side and follow this other

be his friend , a blood brother

Hold his hand when he cries

raise his hand to dry his eyes

make him see another path

open his eyes to a beauty of art

Help him find the will to care

even when I can't be there

give him the will to survive

gift him strength in which to strive

Guide him into light and love

get some help from friends above

god's lost child plods around

wondering if he will ever be found

Let him know the love from high

came to help him with no lie ,

battle the demons hes holding within

help him wipe away his sin's

My guardian light in all your might

please help us to battle and win this fight

this soul is lost and crying for hope

stop him from tying a knot in a rope

I sent this missive to the four winds

that my prayer be heard even thou I've sinned

a sacrifice I'll stand if there's need

my solemn oath in this my creed

forever and always till d-day

if this poor soul is helped today

Show him a light in which to bask

show him a love that eternally lasts

Lastly I ask for him to thrive

I could not bear to be alive

If never , I could be by his side

Hello

This poetic prayer is a wonderful generous gift. The only criticisim I have is that breaking the rhyming pattern detracts from the smoothness of the reading. It is a beautiful and noble idea for a poem, though and I enjoyed reading. Always, Cat

I know was a little

I know was a little emotional when I wrote this one Cat but will fix the rhyming when I edit it ... I actually meant to just post this one as a blog I dont think real prayers should get stars , ... they should be reverent whoever you pray to ... I was just doing as I said in the poem sending it to the four winds ... much love Jayne x x
