Drive - driven

Driven am I to write
It is like breathing to me
I cannot rest
not enough time
my mind races on
for rhythm and rhyme

Words fall tumble
from my pen in hand
as the paper waits
for the next line

What will come next
Will I get any rest
A thought a sound
is all I need
to be led

Re your next read
words tumble so fast
But will they follow

I like this.

Actually, though, I hate to write. Maybe I should change hobbies and write more than I do, which is about all I do most days. Maybe a walk along the beach with my pet alligators would do the trick. Keep at it, an old hack from gaterland.

Sam Thank you for reading my work. I always carry pen and pad with me as I never know what will inspire me. When you take you walk with you pets (what are their names) I am sure you could write about them. Electric blue
