Looking in the mirror

I see whyI am on my ownYou only haveTo see the
Reflection Old age shows soSuitcases areUnder my eyesWelled with tearsOf sadness of joySo full of loveBut no oneTo see But I loveMy smile You seem so busySo self absorbedI understand thisMaybe I am tooSometimes youLet me in I go to sleep aloneI wake up aloneWhy?I cry out for loveTo be lovedTo loveTo be held Biological yesI am femaleBut I want to knowWhat it is to feelLike to be aTotal woman Waiting for loveI am told thatI am a wonderfulWoman that I amBeautiful too. Talented in many waysWhat is the good of this? When you are left aloneThere is no one to see Am I being selfish?Am I being soSelf absorbedToo! All I haveis questionsNo answers Imperfect soul am ISo many shadesOf blue So many starsOut tonightMy starlightSerenade

sorry about the format I cannot rectify this. The last line of the first verse is Reflection. I cannot close up the spacing.

Blue Current,

we are all imperfect. perfection equals dullness; a monotone, nothing worth achieving. cherish your flaws... Old age shows so Suitcases are Under my eyes - how about: Old age shows Suitcases Under my eyes - it sounds a bit more melodic these "many shades of blue" can paint a beautiful picture a single color only leaves a stain. your Proprietress

Hi Maggie

I can relate to much of this, especially the suitcases under my eyes. I hope you're not as sad and lonely as this sounds. I love this line: Imperfect soul am I So many shades Of blue Yours, Dee
