A Solitary Red Rose

As I stand here.A cold wind blows.Staring at the trees so bare,I see, one solitary Rose.Standing tall. Head held high, So lonely – So proud,in the bracken and fern.Holds on fast
Such a strong will.Resisting the elements.A blood Red RoseThe last one

I would leave off the word left as you have already stated it was the last rose nice writing there is something about a single rose reminds me of the last two lines of a poem A single rose when given by you A single rose will say I love you many people are like your rose Chrys

Awesome how some flowers just keep of truckin'!! Last month, we were at Jon's parents house. She still had some crocus flowers in her garden, and it was freezing out! Nice, hope-filled write. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "So you stand on the corner in your new English clothes. And you look so polished from your hair down to your toes. Ahh, but still your finger's gonna pick your nose after all." - B.Joel

A Solitary Red Rose

The rose, one of my favorites, and you did it justice. Great write here. A moment in time, captured forever in the mind! _____________________________ To write a touching poem, you must gently stir the soul, if it brings forth tears or smiles, then the story was beautifully told. ________Janice Pearce_________

Solitary Red Rose poem

E.B., As I wrote to Orgami, you too are a true poet. You see, you write, you show other poets. I've tried for so long to just 'let go' and do that. But no, I have to tear myself to shreds in search of the feeling I want to put across. Then... Oh nevermind. I feel like this solitary rose in the bitter wind, just trying to shine for one more moment. Nice, E.B., write on. wcw
