Love's Light

Dance upon my clouds
swim amongst my stars
lasso in the moon
and forever light my world
illuminate every crevice of my being
fall towards me
like the mountain rain

Burn like the brightest candle
or an autumnal bonfire high
shine like a distant sun
travel o'er the world
for the fairest flower
guard my nights like Kerberos
and never let me fear

What do you mean, you have no idea what this is about? [Your protector, lover, hero, husband?] This is beautiful Jess, Loved it! _____________________________ To write a touching poem, you must gently stir the soul, if it brings forth tears or smiles, then the story was beautifully told. ________Janice Pearce_________

There are so many things that this could be about - I didn't want to put a label on just one specifically. Nice and open-ended, I'll let the reader make the determination. Thanks for the read and comments! ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- "Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. Love's Light? This is really beautiful Jess. You talked about light and it was a love poem, so it makes me think of 'Love's Light'
