Lonely Sunsets

There are a few times
when shared,
heavenly times.

Too many times
I see, alone.

Red setting sun,
burns in the far distance.
I reach out,
to touch the sky.

This amazing view,
always changing,
magnificent.

This living colour,
moving images
created.

Colours merge,
wrapped around me.
I feel so warm.

As in lover's arms,
so sweet an embrace.

Colours fall
from the paint brush,
in my hand.

Smooth strokes
gently applied.
Gold and amber dust,
sparkle over
my canvas.

Sprinkling star dust,
make wishes
and dreams,
come true.

Why? do I feel
so, blue.

Lonely Sunsets Poem

E.B., I've seen some of these sunsets. Beautiful indeed, and I dare say, sometimes better when viewed alone. Someone who does not understand what an artist, or a poet feels, can ruin even a nice summer day. I've seen too much of this also. It's a full moon over Bridgeport Connecticut tonight. Did you see it? wcw

WC Sunsets as you say some better viewed alone. As two people would not always see the same thing. Others do not understand what it is for an Artist a Poet. The way they think and feel. I agree. But kindred spirts like us do see the whole picture and can enjoy the amazing wonders we see and feel. Wish I was there. These are the sunsets I want to see. I see through your eyes by the way you tell your story. It is great when two see the same and can enjoy the moment more. EB

Lonely Sunsets

Hey, Maggie. There are a few rough spots as far as pattern and structure here, but they are minor. My favourite lines "Colours fall from the paint brush, in my hand" Simply beautiful. ~ Ronda

Ronda Thank you. I had a few lines and it grew in front of me As the words fell from my pen on the paper. The colours from the painbrush in my hand. The picture was unfolding in from of me, literaly. I still see it now. Electricblue
