Fragile

A jealous fit
A Nit-Witt

Hurtful words?  No! Razor-blades
They cut the flesh and bleed the soul
Making it so unwilling, to forgive and/or to forget

Yet, he'll never show it
               and
Then again, he forgives her
She just can't understand
What kind of man he might be

Is he weak or unfeeling ?
Can he be wounded ?
Is he even human ?

Maybe he, is a deceiving devil
                 or
Is he truly an angel ?
N ah! A chubby cherub

He is more like, an injured child
Wounded in some unspeakable way

He will not reveal, the simplest of hurts
              He holds it all in

Basking and bathing
In the sins and trespasses
       Made upon him
              Does he care ?
                        or
                 Is he unaware ?

White picket fence and a Victorian house
                          or

A dirt floor and sitting in a cardboard box

Yes, he is still the same, unbreakable
                        and

               Yet, so fragile

A thought by Sinbad the Sailor Man

About This Poem

About the Author

Region, Country: U.S. A. Indiana, Valparaiso, USA

Favorite Poets: Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Carl Sandburg these I have read some And so Many More. I have no Favorite or any that I dislike. Whom I consider to be poets; of course there are many Dark and hateful souls, who would cry out and to I will lend an ear, but some. They just leave a awful taste in my heart that I can not bear to read twice. Let alone as many times I would do normally; as I must.

Yes for some reason it didn't post and that sucks because I very

Rarly print a hard copy the first time. I so liked the first version of this poem but, after so long I forget the whole thought or the previous copy. If I were on my computer I would have automaticaly backed it up but, I am here at the Library. It is something along the first one. Donnie/Sinbad Thanks for taking the time to read.

Pretty good write here Donnie

Sometimes, because of the way men are raised to not show feelings people think we don't have them. Rett: "This way to the Great Egress" P.T. Barnum

Thanks Rett

Most men, of the world, are taught not to show their feelings outwardly, to any one. There should be a place that we can reviel them beside the shrinks office.Or in bed with the wife. That is often times a mood breaker, after the first oo's and aa's, most of them want to know our feelings. Unfortunely, they can't handle the truth, without getting personally effected or feeling some kind of guilt, which they are not entitle too. If you can understand what I am saying. Thanks again.
