Gift Of Life (dedication 2)

What can you say to someone that has given you the gift of life? What do you do for someone who has always been by your side?Has never judged you, or told you that you weren’t good enough?.Or built you up to see you fall? As my mind scrambles for the answers. My tongue trips. My thoughts have faltered.Words become superfluous – meaningless. It has been said that actions speak louder than words.Alas, I hope this thunders in your ears.As I’ve become lost for words.Thus….muted

Would you believe me....

... If I told ya I didn't write this - your multi-hued glittery lizard did? I was thinking on letting Jai-ja walk across the keyboard so that she could "type" out her gift for grammy, but I felt it would detract too much from the work. She purrs her regards, though. ~Lynn (Jess K.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ~ "Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the hell is the ceiling??"

Thx!!

Mom - Glad you liked it! The dragon is actually one of those color-in-yourself-fuzzy posters (we just got a frame for it too) and I thought she'd make a good avatar. Peter - It's an honor being able to read your work as well. Thanks for the comments. Richard - Jessie Lynn? *grimaces* please don't (lol!) Thanks for the read and comments. Cat - Thanks, Cat! See above comments regarding the dragon. I think she came out kinda cool myself...purely a biased opinion. :~) Lynn (Jess K.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ~ "If guns kill people, then I can blame mis-spelled words on my pencil.." - Larry the Cable Guy ~ "Driver carries less than $20 in remorse..."

Happy Mother’s Day to

Happy Mother's Day to Mothers everywhere... And thank you to all our children, without whom, of course, we wouldn't be Mothers. ;-) Beautiful tribute to you Chrys, I see the poet gene runs in your family! Blessings to all our mothers, My mother Helen, died in 1985, we were both too young. ~a

Thank you all

For your kind comments, and for voting up to spotlight. It was indeed a surprise, as I have been trying to write this for days. As I had commented elsewhere, these dedications are meant for a trilogy: Frost, mother, and Jonathan (my better half, not Pugilist) This one tripped me up for a good deal of time. Jon has been virtual paperballs in a wastebasket, as I can't come up with the right words to convey my thoughts. Umi - Thanks ever so much for this comment, and the subsequent one on Frost's dedication as well. Kaila - Thanks for the read, and the positive comments. As you have said, all of my "talent" is because of her. Janice - It cost me a few brain cells! Thanks for the warm thoughts. ~Lynn (Jess K.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ~ "Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the hell is the ceiling??"
