Mason Jar Flowers

morning
barefoot
linoleum
screeching
reaching
for a bowl
toking
'til crispy
crash
landing
in a rocking chair
to ponder on
...flowers
why not
I dare
who cares
I'm off the grid
cast anew
pots and pans
bullet proof
iron age
mugs and jugs
a leaky roof
cleans the rugs
broken latch
been like that
it'sokay
ai'no thugs

begonias!

I'll whack her a batch
for lunch

The Tree

The tree play's a lonely solitary stance.
Upon the wind it sways and dance's.
Stretching its arm as far it can reach.
Shedding its bounty of pears so sweet.
It is just a tree.
Unlike us it is free.
Proud and strong in a changing moods.
Bearing fruit tender and good.
Still its leaves are shimmering green.
When autumn comes a change can be seen.
Leaves changing color to a golden brown.
And falling softly to a velvety ground.
In the wind you catch the rustling sound.

Mr. Mirror

Hey, mr. mirror, have a minute
Thank god were alone
They would definitely put me away
For speaking to an object on my wall
I don't see anyone else here

See, this cosmos is definitely a woman
No man admits these many moods
One moment she says yes you are a man
Then she says your such a fool

I know I’m talking to myself and it’s a bit weird
Is it homicidal to wish agony was strangled
What if I wanted to kidnap sadness
Does that mean I might need a lawyer

SENRYU ( Japanese shop)

#1
Self professed genius
multiple advanced degrees
can't find car at Wal-mart
#2
Unsure why I take this action
or how to impliment
like the plan?
#3
Five trillion dollars more
unimaginable number
so much for "change"
#4
Tiny thong
bane of modesty
especially on him

CHANGES

CHANGES

These hands can’t be mine
twisted and weakened by time.
These fingers can’t belong to me
they don’t glide so easily
across the keys
and I don’t recognize
these eyes
dull and worn
once bluer than
a summer sky

who took away
the magic in my voice
the charm in my smile
the words that could beguile
through my poetry..

Where did I go.
Who am I now
How did I lose myself
in Time....
and who stole my soul....

Mon Frere Blasé (Spoken Word)

Mon Frere Blasé (Spoken Word) performed @Poetry Project (A performance piece

I thought you being gone for awhile
would be good
good to miss you
I thought you being gone from breadth
would be great
to adore you more

but found out I was missing you
things weren't quite right
missing you like a light
realized no sun in the sky;
couldn't see colors
and day
stayed night everlasting forever . . .

The Spectrum (rhyme crimes)

Opposite ends of the wheel
the distance far too great
you've lost your sense of feel
and for me it's way too late.

Workshop:

War with Alcoholics or (The jokes on E)

One Drink to get the engine started
Two and I feel a rumbling starting
The Third and Fourth, There Lives within glass were rather short
As I looked at the fifth, I heard a voice insist "Slow down sport"

I must admit I've never been drunk so quick
Just before I rushed the next drink twards my lips
A fellow combatant hysterically admitted

A D J U N C T

Blue swell
I know you too well
wet me
these clouds sharp
torn at their peak

these winds stride
perilous tear break
the weight my heart
makes

light shivers
where you stand
a memory

THE SONG THAT STOPS YOU

THE SONG THAT STOPS YOU

The song that stops you in your tracks
when walking through a wood,
its mellow tones and striking shrieks,
its bubbling warbled notes,
arrest,

and standing still in awe,
we feel so blessed by nature's charms,
a calm still mirror,
like the lakes and hidden ponds,
pondering the beauty of the sound;

It dances round our senses
steals away all qualms,
and leaves one in a state of love,
caressed by dreamy thoughts,
as if we walk a painting of the world,
the whole,
