WORRY

For the longest time now, I have worried over nothing,
With a mindset that beleaguers me and leaves me rather flat.
It's a feeling that belies a deeper problem than I realize
And it never leaves me happy or contented where I'm at.

I worry like a worrywart who lost the art of happiness
And sit in my depression when I'm losing all control.
But I have a saving element to mental stature relevant
In elevating levels that relieve my very soul.

The secret is a thing I do that finds me strength when strength is due
And I can‘t do without it lest I seek another way.
It's relieving all my pent up scorn and clearing out my deep forlorn
By watching every syllable of everything I say.

It's easy in this day and time to kick up dust from the sublime
And throw it in the faces of the ones we love the most.
And it's common to regret a little time when we forget
To embrace a passing gesture or to drink a solemn toast.

So it's this I need reminding when the woes of strife are blinding
In a prominent delusion that creeps in to modern life.
And I like that I am binding to these saving graces finding
Them the answer to my misery and pocketful of strife.

Writing helps immensely and I try to use that tool everyday. I have other pursuits like writing and recording original music and I also draw and paint. I find it extremely hard to sit and rest. There’s always something to do and there’s very little time.

I’m learning to relax without having an activity going, it’s slow going but I’m trying to remain conscious of my thoughts and logical about myself esteem.

You’re in good hands
Ridiculously good writing here,
Tim

Thank you for your thoughts and for sharing your measures of relaxation from anxiety. As always these comments help to lift me also and give me moral support in my own times of self concern.

Thank you once again for the trouble you go to in replying to every post i make.

Thank you for the comment about my poem and especially for the love and best wishes that you send on every post. The poem is about how we as people often kick up emotional dirt and throw it in the face of those we love when we ourselves are hurting. In order to stop doing this we must watch every syllable of every word we speak before we speak nasty things to those we love.

Thank you for your comments and as always for the love you send my way.
