Wormhole Prophecy

Wormhole Prophecy

Round and round the story goes
without a rhyme or reason
simply imitating prose
that varies with each season

muses change and voices heard
often unexpected
but the safety of the word
is jealously protected

what has no end has no beginning
save what we perceive
Cheshire Cat forever grinning
hoping to deceive

Ouroboros never dying
eats its own behind
while continuously lying
to all humankind

Gods and politicians pray
nothing much will pass
until the coming of the day
we fail to kiss their ass

Round and round the story goes
ever more confusing
simply imitating prose
with words forever losing

Structured: Western
Review Request (Intensity):
I appreciate moderate constructive criticism
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
How does this theme appeal to you?
Is the internal logic consistent?
Last few words:
Just a silly poem for shits and giggles!
Editing stage:

sitting here just got up from a long nap
Rip van winkled er from noon
as the world slowly goes into its vortex
Im listening to a modern version
of an old Wanda Jackson remake
"Funnel of Love"
the old hipster fifties version
of the hippies
Drop out and Drop in
and I remember these people
as a child watching from the
back seat of those huge
american automobiles
and watching the news
and the protestors
This I can see people
going round and round
with the signs and
the singing...

Excellent poem
and vintaged remake
of that era brought
alive with the passion
of the people!!

Thank U!

Nice one, Regards Roscoe...

Roscoe Llane,

Religion will rip your faith off, and return
for the mask of disbelief that's left.

about this one Lonnie! Title, theme and rhythm! I can only Esker in saying that this rocks! As you did, so did I, grow up in turbulent times. It seems as though it's just the same old stuff, repackaged and sold to us again! Thanks, ~ Gee.

It seems that the days and hours that people
are available for chatroom are staggered and
not a good match for most everyone. How about
if everyone just shows up at the door, whenever
they have a few free minutes?

'Rhythm and Meter in Poetry'

Just got back from one of my brushes with the hooded asshole with the scythe.

Damn man, this is good! Smooth, powerful, funny...I wish I could figure out how you marry cadence with rhyme as smoothly as you do!

Great Stuff. Let's have some more!
