Untitled

A symphony
of prayer
touches my mind
in the peace
of whispered words
I soothe my heart

some are imprinted
without thought
as filigreed light
warms my soul,
they slip out
as adoration sung
from the heart

in these moments
of reverence
and love
where no pain
can burn
or malice survive

I come as close to heaven
as I can bear to be

Hello, Jayne,
A beautiful capture of what feels like, to me, a divine phenomenal moment.
L

To say it was profound is an understatement. Thanks so much for reading this one I'm really not sure what to call it.

Thank you for your insight!

Maybe there are no words that fit a suitable title for such a glorious experience...
My heart overflows from this.

I loved this also, because it reveals the nature of the HUMAN heart, without compromising the acceptance of divinity!
I feel to say that the poetry that I've read has all been exceptional. This is a fun and safe place to work my feelings out
in a positive way! This is beautiful!

The power of our language can and will change the world.

like this, one might tend to fall back upon the prayers learned by rote, and somehow retained over years of disuse. A magical moment, captured! ~ Love and higgest bugs, Geez.

I’m borrowing from Pink Floyd of course. But I thought of the last lines of the “Time” when I read your poem.

I know that song & actually went and listened to it again when I read your comment,

Thanks for your thoughts they're always appreciated!

Another brilliant piece! These spiritual moments are so incredible and precious. You did a wonderful job of capturing the feel of that moment.
