The Traveler

No special traveler am I, but another just as you.
I make my way through this life as best I can,
with hopes for joy and little pain.
Coping with the whatever comes my way.
Sometimes growing, sometimes not.
I travel this road lighter now,
bringing with me little of time or fortune.
For most of both are long since spent just getting here.
The only thing of value I have left,
are these tiny bits of person I call me.
The last of my treasure which I will freely share with you.
I do not know how long we'll walk this road together,
nor where it leads, or ground it may traverse.
But walk along it with me for a while still, for I
need the brightness of your light,
against the thousand terrors hidden in the darkness.
Fear not this weary traveler then.
No deserter he, who'll forsake you in the night.
Nor highwayman who'll steal away that which is you.

How was my language use?
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
How was the beginning/ending of the poem?
Is the internal logic consistent?

This seems to be a prose piece,
where you could break it up
let it sing the words
you need to bring to my mind.
Find a form to let the words flow
Then you can teach me how to do it so..

I would love to see you put this out as a poem, you have the way with words, and there are many that will help with the layout, Take care out there, Yours Ian.T

There are a million reasons to believe in yourself,
So find more reasons to believe in others..

Right again Ian, needs work for sure. Thanks for the read and the comment.
