Mother Superior Jumped The Gun !

Mother Superior Jumped The Gun

We are wrapped up in our societal hold
You will do as you are told until the very rights to you are sold
Shades of grass on the figment of our pain
Not having you in my arms is driving me insane

Shadows taunt through a fragment of our imagination
Perhaps in need of a break on a long awaited vacation
Blackened eyes with the natural ivy dew
We have bitten off far more then we could chew

Mother Superior jumped the gun
Shelter lies dormant onto its beckoning plow
There is no use in looking back at the hue
We have to come up with a reasonable solution

The ivy leaves look on as colors do bleed
Behind the false bid of compromise can't you see through all those lies
We build our city on rock & roll
Yet who could describe this crazy death toll

Shades of grey now lay hidden slightly torn to pieces
Scattered papers on the rim of the floor
Lest I implore the opened door
The concept of Seinfeld made no sense

We all must dig a bit deeper then ever before !

Review Request (Intensity):
I want the raw truth, feel free to knock me on my back
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of my title?
Last few words:
We all must dig a bit deeper then ever before !
Editing stage:

The title drew me in, a line from a Beatles
song. I like the poem, damn if I know where
you were going but I did enjoy the ride.
