Moon Walking... Historical Figure [for June contest]

Neil Armstrong took a giant leap
and landed on the moon
An astronaut and hero
he won first place in the space race

I literally looked up to him
and wondered if he was scared
He didn't sound like he was
“One small step for man...”

The “Buzz” was there and they
walked and talked and
they rocked and rolled
doing the “space buggy”

I had almost forgotten the “Buzz”
Men that were out of this world
Damn, they were brave!
So far from earth, but home in our hearts

yes, those guys were the bravest, and it's good to read your tribute to those that rode those dangerous buckets. Nice flow to it--like a stream-lined rocket in flight. Much liked--no nits. Ali

I neglected to mention the third man on that mission, Michael Collins! The mostly forgotten member of the team. I actually had to search for him! Maybe I will write something about him. ~ Geezer.

to Ali, I actually had to look up the third man on that mission! The guy that stayed in the orbiter and waited for Neil and Buzz. I watched it too and was immensely proud that we, the United States had beaten the Russians there. Now, we are partners with the Russians on the International Space Station. I think that I may write something about him next. He was just as brave as the other two. Thank you for the read and comment, ~ Gee.

They sure made a difference in the human history.
Wish you the best.
I think you need to enter your poem under the cotest labled as "historical figure" instead of the "historical Vision"? Not sure though

they had less than thirty seconds of fuel to do it with. Amazing that he did it manually.
