The Moment Is

the moment is
a missed opportunity
or perhaps a trade
a gift of peace and meaning
or perhaps a tirade

the moment is
cumulative
or isolated, alone
the maker of relationship
the time you look at
or away from your phone

the moment is king
clown or pauper
a slave to money, desire,
or the clock
time relaxing by a river
or when you pick up your
figurative guitar and rock

the moment is here and gone
all of what life consists
the most forgiving
unit of measure
but also the severest test

the moment is

A nice list poem. perhaps the only way to approach what a moment "is". How we live in it.

The next question becomes the one Bill Clinton used at his inquisition...
“It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.."

Thanks for the poem!

than teach ten thousand stars how not to dance

Lol. Thanks Eumolpus
