liquid courage

The thing that breaks down my walls without having to say a thing

my face turns from snow to fire when my darkest secrets become my spoken desires

feelings hidden now become know, secrets spilled that I should've never been told

things locked deep inside escape and light up the night like a million little fireflies

I wish I could capture them all, but now they're out for the world to see

callin it courage is misleading, when in reality it is de filtering

supposing that the meaning of your title is one of [alcohol loosens my tongue?] I know some that I would never tell a secret or give private information to, because a few drinks of alcohol and their brain leaks out from their mouth. They also don't have enough self-control to keep from saying whatever is on their mind, regardless of what the consequences might be. I would normally say that the use of stanzas is preferable, but this poem is really too short for that, the use of double spacing is sufficient. I got the gist of the poem, even if I got the cause of the title wrong. Nice job! ~ Geezer.

It seems that the days and hours that people
are available for chatroom are staggered and
not a good match for most everyone. How about
if everyone just shows up at the door, whenever
they have a few free minutes?
