just out of reach

you think looking at your phone
time and time again,
and not seeing his name
would get it into your head.
but hope is a cruel thing,
devouring;
a disease spreading through you
and a blissful thing.
longing for something
just out of reach
waiting for the moment
of fulfilment and peace

Thank you Teddy,
I never really considered myself to be good at literature but this poem kind of just happened if you know what I mean. Although I didn't write it with much thought, it reflected some emotions I was going through recently and I just hoped I was able to translate that through.

Literature is definitely not my strong suit but it was very encouraging that you liked it and found it relatable.
