C#-tis Interruptus

All right, let's knock this assignment out
*looks at obsidian screen*
What a nice contrast with that neon green font
*cracks knuckles, and begins to type*

XmlDocument xml = new XmlDocument();

Dang fly, get out of here!
*lyrics of Monster by Mumford and Sons crosses mind*
Music! That's what I forgot! Let's fire up Spotify...
*sings along with song*
What was I doing? Right. Homework. OK

XmlDocument xml = new XmlDocument();
xml.LoadXml(str); // suppose that str string contains "<Names>...

This daggum fly! Land, so I can get you. Land! That's it! LAND!
Easy, easy, SPLAT!
*Wipes hands on jeans*

You know, I haven't watched a Few Good Men in a while
YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
*daydreams about rifle drills*
Look at all those Marines in their smart uniforms
Sunlight bouncing off that polished M1 Garand like it's hitting a force field
OOO-RAH!
Dang it. I need to do this homework!
*cracks neck* OK

XmlDocument xml = new XmlDocument();
xml.LoadXml(str); // suppose that str string contains "<Names>...</Names>"

Mreeow? Rowr-rowr-rowr?
Grey fluff hops into my lap.
There goes any hope of assignment being done soon.....

Style / type:
Free verse
Review Request (Intensity):
I appreciate moderate constructive criticism
Review Request (Direction):
What did you think of the rhythm or pattern or pacing?
How does this theme appeal to you?
Is the internal logic consistent?
Last few words:
11/19 Edit: Took out a lot of the code as suggested. Tightened up some of the flow. Took out a couple action pieces as I felt it was overkill. The coding isn't a typo. It's C# for how to select XML nodes by Attribute and were purposefully inserted. No flies were hurt during the writing of this poem.

we have some humor here! I liked it, but could have done with just little bit less of code. Not to say get rid of it all, but leave just enough to give the idea. I have the same problems in getting started sometimes. My wife says that I am a procrastinator, but I think that such a big word should be left to
describe people with bigger problems. [Those that never get anything done]! Welcome to Neo. I hope that we will see more of your work. Be sure to look at our workshops and join our monthly contests!

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

I could not even begin to write code whatever That is lol. So it might be a good idea to minimize it in your poem incase there are still a lot of luddites like me around . Other than that this is a good slice of life including the fly........stan

I agree that there's too much code. I'm also not happy with the flow - there are some sections that are a little jumpy. A work in progress!
