Blank Page

I take ownership of the blank page…

stare into my eyes and get lost
in my inertia.
I am the song I never sang to him
while he walked away.
I am the journal article on self awareness and change.
I am a book without ink or paper.

I am scribbling…
trying to protect myself from the glare.
And
always always always…
I come back to you…
this unnamed partner who will change my meaning.
I am doodles in margins and feminist quotes.
I am sacred paths and winter’s snow.
But
im cursed
to wander and search
for you
on my
blank
page.

if the poem is meant to portray you looking for love, a relationship or just a feeling of unfulfilled dreams. I guess that it could be either or both. That is okay, I like the uncertainty of having to wonder about it. My one little nit is the use of [im cursed]. A typo, I'm sure. Even so, I would rather see you use I am. It just seems right. Welcome to Neo. and I hope that you find us and the site to be just what you are looking for. I am sure that you will be inspired and encouraged by us and flourish. ~ Geezer.

This must be the place, 'cause there ain't no place like this place anywhere near this place.

Hello, Izzy,
When I read your poem, it feels like you are searching for your muse - that inner force. I especially like 'I am sacred paths and winter's snow.' Beautiful, and both places where we may find that inner reflection, that unnamed partner.
Thank you,
Lavender

Hello Izzy and welcome to Neopoet. Hope you feel comfortable with this family of poets. Your poems shows a person (you?) seeking love, not sure from where, but that's not important. I especially like the couplet pasted below. I wonder whether your last lines could be joined together for the sake of neatness. No other nits. Best, Gracy
