Goldilocks had it
Figured out,
But what is,
“Just Right”?
When she sat down to join
Meno and Socrates
At the coffee shop
They asked her
How do you know
This unknowable thing,
“Just Right”
And she smiled
But did not answer
I have been thinking

Ever since I saw you disappear
Into the airport terminal
Nothing seems to taste,
“Just Right”
I wonder what is
That secret ingredient
You cook with
So,
I went to the coffee shop
And they were sitting there
Waiting for me
Goldilocks asked how the Rhubarb was doing
It grows like always
But no one cuts it down and cooks with it
She smiled
And said that just isn’t right
