TUCKED AMID
Tucked amid undainty coo
Red-tufted swiftlets preen the dew
Her growing ever earthwise sure
Reveals an Eve of musculature
2 parts water
1 part to joke with
And kisses smearingly she spoke with

About Me
I identify as a poet, in the sense that every individual person could arguably be poems, live through a poetic lens, and in that sense realize the universal connectedness. I write to examine those connections; between myself and things, between concepts and people, people and myself. Inherited privilege can manifest as a handicap of sorts, yet love and kindness have no borders. All blood is red.
Externally, my vocations have been various, but I have always written. Favorite poets have been a reflection of my evolution. In college, both Shakespeare and Bukowski fascinated. I find an intense light in Plath, O'Hara, Brautigan. Currently reading Roberto Bolaño, Frank Stanford. Workshops are valuable for the community aspect, since much of poetic distillation and creation is insular and personal. I hope to make myself and the group better.
