Billow Of Clouds
Billow of clouds overhead
white plumes move steadily
blackened skies turn rapidly
sun beats down across the land
Another hot summer day
filled high with temperature
thunderstorms rolling in
crackling flashes of electricity
Lightening strikes again
Hails the rainstorm pounding down
from billows of clouds overhead
downpours of water here again
To cool a temptress airs
sweltering heat, a water spouts
feeding flowers and grass
nourishment, once again
Summer's heat is here
we hover safely inside
wait and weather the storm
Overpassed, returning once again
The stale airs, for our sun will soon
peek out the heat and glare
as we await another billowing
sky of darkness to cleanse
Mother Earth and her lands
returning a summer's story
of heat and all it's glory
billows of clouds, we do
Keep watch over skies
as summer days
have arrived.
