Letting Go

Why do I have to go through all this
When it's love we obviously both miss

Just take a second to think of me
Understand the things you cannot see

And if this really is your chosen way
I wish you happiness on every single day

My last act of loving is setting you free
Hoping you know it means you're everything to me

I don't even want to get mad
Knowing it would make you feel sad

Getting that you would if you could
The moment I stopped thinking I should

Not excactly what I was looking for
Truthfully it left me wanting more

Not a thing I wouldn't try to do
But never could I be hurting you

So go and please be the better for it
Only remember once I mattered a little bit

This is a poem written to a pariitcular person

others may relate to it, but it feel like a private intrusion. Cheers, Jess, Reprehensibly irrepressible, "the alleged short-cut to knowledge, which is faith, is only a short-circuit destroying the mind." [Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged]
