A Cobblestoned Path
The sound of silence greets me
each time I pace this path
wandering now like a nomad
on each stone baring time...
Kneeling to caress each textured piece
still warm from her naked feet
blades of grass greet my lips
still wet from the dew enshrined...
A gentle breeze whispers me awake
from my reverie of cobbled dreams
rustling leaves hasten my breath
on sighting those cupids engraved...
The soul keeps bursting in joyous tears
in their rivulets the cupids get washed
"I will wait till the rainbow reappears"
promises each sparkling drop....
