Moonspun Musings

Hey You, charming Dame of the skies
You Keeper of Lover's secrets
chasing them in glades & coves
in the midst of their rendezvous..

While you eavesdrop on their tete-a-tetes
and promises they make in a heap
they lavish you with their choicest praise
hoping you would grant them their wish...

Are your craters full of promises
or just dungeons full of dreams
of Lovers who sought your favors
and bought your moonlit smiles?

Your impish smile and pleasing glow
hails a thousand lives, all know
but what ails the other side of the Moon
no one seems to know...

Is it the blues for not having enough
of The Sun who keeps you aglow
getting it to eclipse after all the longing
with just a diamond ring to show?...
