I keep on chasing after you
You must love all the attention
Showering you with beautiful prose
Trying to win some of your affection

Look over your shoulder and you will see
Your coattails have become my best friend
People think I am sad with my devotion
I guess they don't ever feel alone then

Will you take a bite
Of my cherry pie
I'd love you to share it with me
In my own world

I take the crust, you have the cherry

Better bring me back down to earth
But what is the harm in fantasising
Although I am only 3 steps behind you
Is there any chance of you realising

I wonder if anyone can really save me
From the same mistake I keep making
