DIFFRACTED SELF
Held on a seemingly endless pause
wandering aimlessly searching for
another cause, a waiting room of
spun out thoughts when long days
slows the night ;
Flat lined without a blip! stumbled then
tripped clinging to the social welfare drip
which gripped pride sucked all from inside ;
Temporized , diminished grimace and smile
have been derailed for a while ;
Underlying questions when no one knows you
whole contentment torn! resown, stronger but
miscast an inner world without the common tread
of friends and kindred dwelling on the fringes of
stability a nondescript search for tranquility ;
wandering aimlessly searching for
another cause, a waiting room of
spun out thoughts when long days
slows the night ;
Flat lined without a blip! stumbled then
tripped clinging to the social welfare drip
which gripped pride sucked all from inside ;
Temporized , diminished grimace and smile
have been derailed for a while ;
Underlying questions when no one knows you
whole contentment torn! resown, stronger but
miscast an inner world without the common tread
of friends and kindred dwelling on the fringes of
stability a nondescript search for tranquility ;
