You Haunt My Heart

I can hear you cry,
Through the midnight air,
I reach for you,
But you aren't there.
I yearn to hold you,
And calm your fears,
Rock you to sleep,
Kiss away your tears.
Twenty years have passed,
Since you went away,
But I feel the pain of your loss,
Day after day,
You have four brothers, one sister,
That you never knew,
But I promise you love,
That they know of you,
I will always love you,
I will forget you, never,
And I know that one day,
We will be together forever.
So till that blessed day comes,
I will keep your memory alive,
It is what keeps me going,
It is how I survive.

Greeneyes' heatbeat does flow...

Well you lay yourself bare here in such a fludic display of writing and you tug at heart-strings so Greeneyes. Every word here taps on your chest in time and rhyme with your heartbeat so you feel every word so deeply. It is always hard when you lose someone so close to you... but you have expressed it so very well here! Bravo Greeneyes. Dale :)
