Will love become, or overcome me?
Are you really thinking that love will become meYou never know, I'll wait for my one opportunityI can't hold out forever, my patience wearing thinI lie to myself over, 'bout when our love will begin Gripping my hands tightly and waiting for the callI feel the sadness rising and then I feel it fallThe sorrow is seeming to drown my broken heartIn this sad love story, I seem to have the main part But whenever I see you, I kid myself once moreThat we'll be together like I had dreamt beforeYou have unwittingly, got your hooks in meand it is a restraint that I don't want to break free Suppose my way of thinking is rather shallowIt's my fault I'm hurting, I built my own gallowsFeel the noose is tightening as I take my final bowYou can release the trapdoor, my pain is over now.
