MATCH POINT

MATCH POINT  I played tennis with a young mana quarter of my ageHe was gracious and thoughtful -reallyquite dignified and sage. Reality seared through my aching jointsfiring up old nagging pain.As I gasped for breath he stated: "Nevertheless!""Let's try for a Win or Gain!" He spurred me on with reminders"Thrills of victories!" "Taste of sweetness!"All glories of a By-gone Age.                Old beliefs vs. Youth's Energetic ReleaseIt seemed time to Turn the Page!

Decrepitude and ageing will have their waywhy foist them on ourselves too early? If we can prop up the nettstill show 'em the "go get"we can stave them off ol' girlie! Ah! but Fate's cruel reminder with three ball behinds her and an opponent up at the net!              " Youth cannot be beaten!                Time cannot be bought! " BjR  22  July, '09

sorry Richard!

It was equally difficult for an old biddie like me to set it up that way! It certainly wasn't intentional - read my additional comments if you have time! Thanks Boni

APOLOGIES TO ALL!

There was a gremlin in the machine! I too hated the spacing and it was NOT intentional! Somehow Microsoft/Google Chrome gave up on me - or I on it and by midnight I figured JUST SUBMIT! Moral of the story - 'IF IT IS BROKE - JUST FIX IT!" Will do :) Thanks Bonita j

Time is king!

Hey Boni J, Nobody beets emperor time! I miss the days when I was always the younger. Youth is always a worthy adversary for those of us who have seen more life, but sometimes we win... Best Mike

Bonita, Liked this one, cheered up my day, for as we age our head may say yes, but our bodies scream NO! ______________________________________________________ Income-tax forms should be more realistic by allowing the taxpayer to list "Uncle Sam" as a dependent Anonymous

You're so right! :)

Especially in a culture that says we may not age, we must fight signs of it at ever turn - despite the poor ol' body's screaming! :) Glad you liked it! Bonita j
