Word weft nova bright ("Ode" no 3 for O')
Tumbling, flailing, slow, lilt, sweet
You play your words to raw heart beat
You split the ground beneath our feet
And drag us through the strata
How is it that you pull from me
So many views I'd never see
Yet you set these apparitions free
To play upon the darkness
We taste from you the simple dreams
The aches, the devil's silent screams
The micro view where your living gleams
In its richness and its starkness
You paint for us the bleak, the cold,
The blazing passion, the tender fold
Future hints, historic gold
We melt beneath your magic
With words that take a feathered flight
A dizzy spin from massive height
A dark deep plunge devoid of light
Majestic, humble, tragic
I love these travels through your mind
Tormented trails you leave behind
The brilliant shine, and contact kind
Your words bleed dark and haemorrhagic
You are prisoner to written cages
Yet freed on wings drawn through the ages
You speak through beggars, scholars, sages
And bring this to our sight
Always with a wonder glow
The images just shift and flow
Direction change, new angles show
Your brilliance O’, is Nova bright
You play your words to raw heart beat
You split the ground beneath our feet
And drag us through the strata
How is it that you pull from me
So many views I'd never see
Yet you set these apparitions free
To play upon the darkness
We taste from you the simple dreams
The aches, the devil's silent screams
The micro view where your living gleams
In its richness and its starkness
You paint for us the bleak, the cold,
The blazing passion, the tender fold

With words that take a feathered flight

A dark deep plunge devoid of light

Yet freed on wings drawn through the ages
