Infinite Splendour (The Nerve Endings of God)

A dangerous place, this
where one can love
so many times
in a night

be caught
in these wonderful nets
time and again

Soulmates, soulmates
everywhere!

confusion of a heart
wrapped in tradition
expectations bewildered
desire disorientated

Oh time there is not enough of you
for me to love all those I'd choose
in all the ways I'd like

Oh life there is so much of you
on offer
makes it nigh on impossible to settle

Win or lose
we are the nerve endings of god
his way of experiencing the world, perhaps,
so, in that much
we must
allow ourselves to feel

Whatever we choose
we are the heart and lungs of the goddess
her life's appendage
we need but let her
breathe through us

We are the spirit's eyes
seeing the promise
acknowledging
mirrors for each other
and as such we must remain open
to the sight
the night visions
the day dreams
the conscious streams
of life

Am I seeking acceptance
with these, my truths
which I bring
to your tables?
Not purposefully, but yet
I often find it
am lovingly caught in it's net
time and again

I'm spent and I'm reborn
I'm coloured, I'm redrawn
with each passing moment
each poetic movement
encouraging me
to feel
to breathe
to see
to be
to love, in infinite splendour

Double triple thank you

Double triple thank you Jayne!! Wow, what a wonderful reaction, I'm quite taken aback :) I was worried it might be a bit disjointed, it came in so many parts, over a number of days and I wasn't sure if it all went together, really happy that you find it worthy of admiration, and I'm blushing at 'true poetess' and exceedingly grateful for your comments and continued support, I'm also loving reading more of you Jayne! much love b xx

My dear friend, what a

My dear friend, what a glorious message, "we must allow ourselves to feel," so true beyond what true can be. A rose called love so much worth the prick of heartbreak, no matter the depth of the thorn. You map out your belief so well in these words. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. Marvelous. -Nathaniel

Nathaniel, dear friend

Nathaniel, dear friend indeed :) I love how you read me. It helps, I think, that we don't know just how deep the thorn may be, most of the time! :) and often the most beautiful rose bears the deepest of thorns. So happy you liked the poem, and it's main 'message', there's a lot of Neo in here too, and more than a little of you. It's my pleasure to share, of course I'd write it all anyway, but the sharing of it brings so much in itself. Discovering your work has already brought much to my little life, so thank you too, I guess :) catch up with you soon, much love b xx

Thanks Craig, what ever time

Thanks Craig, what ever time you got here was just right :) I've been on holiday so sorry not to have replied before lol :) Always happy when you find something in my writing, was worried about it being disjointed, as it is several little writes strung together, but yours, and others responses to this bit of bunting (do you have this word in Oz?) poetry, make me feel right in popping it together, cheers Craig, much love b xx
