Beki

Nice little haiku here. Some chickens will damn near mow you over to get to their feed! --------------------------------- "Until that ‘morrow render unto me That which is mine my stipend well deserved The fairest flower of your progeny Your sons, your daughters your hopes and your dreams The cruel consequence of your conceit" - Steve Earle

Hi infinite dwarf (is it Jess? I think so from some of the comments of yours that I've seen else where!) Thanks for stopping to comment, so glad you liked it, it's funny, the chickens were actually very busy trying to get out of the way of my daughter, toddling up to them and chucking corn on their heads lol! much love b x

I remember my chickens free ranging

their metal cage the cardboard shade with stone the grass ants and grit they thrived on the mash and light at night for warmth move them inside away from all the dangers at night plug in the bulb take them out in the day their bowl of water freedom in the big square grid fresh air they grew that summer filling fat and growing fast on the garden insects of the feilds near the barn and house Yes I raised chickens too Who knew??

Who knew indeed! lol, I do now, how lovely of you to share this with me Orgami (can I call you Steven yet? we've never been properly introduced! Hi I'm Beki (extends hand in warm greeting) lol) These chickens actually belong to a friend of mine, he has ducks too, a dog and cows in the field next door, needless to say we had a wonderful time, Omi loved it, and me? well I could honestly have kept my hand immersed in that corn for much longer than I did! :) much love b xx

forty chickens and a dog

those little feathered freaks, I'm sure they're descended from dinosaurs. If you lay still long enough they'd eat you. Enjoyed. Craig
