Return to Happiness

You who pulled
my petals off
slowly, one by one
Witness this
My reblossoming

You who eroded
this glorious mountain
see me
reaching for the stars

You who clipped my wings
so thoughtlessly
watch me
take flight
observe me soar
reaching new heights

You who doused the fire in me
with constant dripping
stand back
I'm reigniting

You who trampled my creativity
so recklessly
Read this!

You who have no power here
my writing heart
will no more beat for you

You who squashed my hope
can not control this
my return to happiness

That's telling him [?] ... a glorious assertion of your strength of mind and soul beautifully wrapped up and delivered first-class. Bravo, indeed! Mike "not all matterings of mind equal one violet" ~ e e cummings ~

Wow thanks Mike, I’m so

Wow thanks Mike, I'm so happy that you like it, and yes it is kind of telling 'him', not that 'he'll' ever read it, and definitely an assertion, for myself I guess, I'm still sometimes amazed that other people might enjoy reading my therapeutic indulgences lol :) thanks again Mike much love b x

The strength in you

You who clipped my wings so thoughtlessly watch me take flight observe me soar reaching new heights That says it more than more, i like the way you've expressed and displayed how strong you are Beki, You do have an amazing heart that's like a plant (In my Zimbabwe we call it Mufandichimuka meaning--it dies and resurges) I don't know what the plant is called in english, it's a plant that survives the scorching of the sun, even pulled off, when it rains you can always see it sprouting it's tiny leaves once again. You rule coz-u've got the stregnth of love love and light Ephy

Wow Wafi, manena, my utmost

Wow Wafi, manena, my utmost pleasue :) what more could a poet want than to give new hope and determination through a poem?! am extremely touched by your response to this one Wafi, I'm happy it could sprinkle some hope your way :) It must be a hard time for you, so many displaced people, how far are you from the fighting? (You are in Pakistan? I'm guessing from your recent poems about Pashto and your latest, very powerful post) Stay hopeful Wafi, if you have a light within you there will always be hope and love in the darkest of times :) Hugssss back, much love b x
