A Letter to My Mother

Dear Mum ,

Your heart so big
mere words
can't describe
how I feel
down deep inside
your grace and class
never could be surpassed
the old and the frail
you cared with affection
always giving all
with the utmost attention
You did everything
without recompense
didn't give a damn
if you got a red cent
Your whole family
you loved
without a thought
Always knowing
true love
couldn't be brought
You tried to help me
be the best
I could be
hoping I'd always
be happy and free
I’d give my last breathe
just to say I’m sorry
I love you I miss you
you were my light
and courage

A forgiveness
and strength
so mighty and strong
to tell you these things
has taken so long
you must have looked down
and been most dismayed
I’d made a huge mess
and I’d started to stray
But I want you to know
I’m very very sorry
I’ll try not to be
such a huge worry
But you have to know
I felt I would die
You’d left me
rising into
clouds so high
My children
know you
through stories
and pictures
I just wish
they hadn’t missed
one of life’s
beautiful mysteries
One little thing
I forgot to mention
and now I’ll bring it
your attention
I’ll never ever
love another
like I loved
and adored
my wonderful mother ...

motherly love!

i'm sure that i am not alone when i say that this is what i feel. anyone saying nay, would surely be a heel. not to diminish your love for your mother of course! i just meant that you tugged on my heartstrings. my mom still going at eighty-two. she has always had her familys' well-being at heart and baby-sat and nurtured our tribe of wild indians for sixty-some years. your mom and mine would have been great friends, i'm sure. gee

sorry!

got so caught up in the emotion, that i forgot to mention that it was a very fine piece of work, although just a little ragged in spots. for instance: A heart as big,as an ocean wide, and here you are, letting all inside. for grace and class, you weren't surpassed [think about letting go of this line or putting another with it and seperated from two lines above. just a thought. gee.p.s. hope i wasn't too hard on you but fresh eyes and all that...ya know?

Dearest Fleur,

I have just had a cry with you, it hurts to read this one yet everytime I open this link its like I send that message out the her, there will not be a day i wont think of her, and she was the best mother but she was also a nurse who was loved and respected by everyone how knew her, We used to butt heads like you wouldnt believe, LOL there is only three people on the face of this planet that could arc me up she was one of them, I would give up and she would just talk the spirit back into me, she gave me the strength I have needed to get through a few tough times for that I can never thank her, cept in my heart and head by remembering her and making sure the kids remember her , my god but she loved my kids you wouldnt believe it, she would work all year just so the kids could be spoilt rotten and dad too but sheeeee loved xmas it was her time of the year, and Now i am the same and I have passed the tradition on to her and the boys, For me she isn't gone , But fuck I miss her ...
