Mommy's Crying

I have tried to edit this over the years but tend to start crying each time.'Nuff said

Mommy's Crying

Grandpa, now look at what you've done,
you've made my mommy cry.
I was sick and know I was bad,
but I didn't want to die.

Grandpa, was I so bad to you?
Did I make you mad?
I trusted you and gave my love,
I didn't mean to be so bad.

Mommy's crying and I can only watch,
her tears hurt me so.
I wish I could reach and touch her,
because soon I must go.

Grandpa, I was hurt and crying,
I didn't know that it was bad.
A three year old doesn't understand,
I'm sorry I made you mad.

Grandpa, Mommy's crying and needs help
and I'm only a spirit now, you see.
Mommy, I'm right here by your side,
I wish you could hug me!

Grandpa, Why'd you do what you did?
Now you've made mommy cry.
Mommy I've got to go with the Angels now,
I don't want to say goodbye!

Thank you, I wrote this, as you can see by the dates, the day after. I just sat down and started writing and that is what came out. To this day everytime I try to make a change I start crying. Grandpa claimed she just disappeared but they found her under a pile of leaves and he confessed. Sometimes events nail you to the wall, this was one. Yes, people are sick and I will never understand those minds. I absolutely abhor anything of that nature happening, especially to a child. *sigh* Now a 14 year old gives birth in school, stuffs toilet paper down it's throat and drowns it. 8 lbs. but she didn't know she was pregnant. This is soo sad,

It reminds me kinda of "Drift away with me" that I wrote.(especially the last stanza) Such a tragedy, I do not think I will ever understand. Great write, Mark
