What brings us to love...

It was the magic veil of fate that made

our life paths cross ever so happily,

but it is what bonds us so strongly together

that makes us live so very lovingly.

We trust each other:

We share each other’s secrets easily,

candidly and openly,

we love each other in our own, very special way;

we adore each other ever so amorously.

We care for each other:

whether when she cares about

his "special problem" with deep concern;

or whether when he strives to help

with any of her problems,

even when they’re so difficult to discern.

We ever so often sacrifice for each other

without a second thought, it just give us pleasure

It’s part of our love, its part of our friendship,

its part of our caring, it’s something we treasure.

Valuing honesty above every other meaning,

being always candid to each other,

we are always truthful, open and frank  even when

it might hurt our relationship in some manner.

We both believe that whatever difficulties

the magic veil of fate might ever bring along our way

we will both keep our special friendship growing

forever and ever and in every possible way !!!

We both try to listen to each other’s thoughts,

and whenever possible try to change course.

We both reveal our passions

and manage to disclose every single

little aspect of these same emotions

that lead to improvement and enhancement

if not to the very actual solutions.

We are both perfectionists but know

that we have a long way to go through excellence,

We are spiritually motivated…  we are driven…

we are ambitious… we are determined…

but at the same time we are compassionate for others…

we care…  we are always concerned…

We know of all our faults and try

to resolve them in a humble, modest way

we know we’re only humans and that God will guide us in his own, special way

It is apparent that your poem is directed towards a very small audience of one. Each piece is very long and I know that you have put a great amount of work into them. However, love poetry is generally a very difficult genre to step into when expecting any sort of constructive suggestions. Readers are wary of dashing what they know are important sentiments to you. Perhaps you could try to write something beyond the boundaries of love poems? Challenge yourself to write a new form, something concise, yet poignant. I would love to see you step outside your comfort zone. Best, Ronda
