In a World That is Square (A quad rhyme Quatrain)
In a World That is Square
In a world that is all square and right,
men would lead with honor and might,
women would follow, giving love's light,
as nature intended, so why do we fight?
In a world that is all square and just,
we would all do just what we must,
giving and taking, renewing our trust,
as justice prevails, so why do we lust?
In a world that is all square and fair,
trust is built with love, without despair,
holding hands, sharing life in the square,
as families would, so why do we swear?
In a world that is all square and full of love,
stars shine down with light from high above,
the moon moves tides soft as a turtle dove,
as romance flows, so why do we shove?
In a world that is not square, but chaotic,
we fight over spilt milk and act despotic,
lust and swear over things quite exotic,
shoving love aside for things more erotic.
In a world that is not square, but magic,
we come together, at times more tragic,
dance and sing, losing any sense of logic,
fighting chaos with the magic of analogic.
