Levi
by the cold window
i combed your hair
while you shivered in your blanket
So lost were you in your last thoughts
the month of clinging for your wife
for your family who hated your new
life
watched it all from my bed
my torn pinned shoulder
took everyones order
cause you some could not read
I lied about my car crash
told them i fell from a tree
not the drunk man child
reckless on the road
Levi whom built North Bays
great subdivisions riding
on the bulldozer himself
shrunken down to the
frail white haired man
in July who was bitterly
cold from the open window
whose family fought about his
will and testament before he
took his last breath
and the wife who loved him
