O

shadowed shores

here I am awash in the current underlining of the moment

the pines and balsams are unkempt and bent with wind

and the opposing forces coming in from the lake

as if its far and vast atmosphere could blast physical into

emphereal curvatures

the stones are rounded and fill the voids where sand should

be  large waves are floundering in

driftwood is tangled and stacked where the blackest of

shadows meet the waters moving images

living emotion swirling and cankerous on the broken rock

the mountian above the road come down to slake its

hot thirst of a billion some years

shes lonely and hard out there

waiting for a moment to turn and hurl her breakers

high up in the branches

tear at the fabric of landscape for a few hundred miles

I am here at her gentle side

while a moon slides up from the

great purple night

and rides the waves like

great ghost horsemen

I thoroughly enjoyed the phrases you've so carefully chosen in order to paint a vivid picture. In particular, I love '...driftwood is tangled and stacked where the blackest of shadows meet the waters moving images...' and your reference to 'the fabric of landscape'... I've got writer's envy!!
