Tears of Blood
I gaze upon the crowd
my heart beating bursting out.
I can see their fear and their hate.
stretching my arms out wide
as blood drips from my side.
The people call me names
and spit upon my face.
I try to lift myself up
so I may breath awhile more...
but the pain in my feet
reflects the path to heavens door.
Friends and foes alike look at me.
You claim to take my life
do you not see?
These tears of blood I cry
so you may live your life.
I have walked with men
33 years with them...
then I was cast aside for the price of silver
beaten and tried like a criminal.
then hung here up high for the visual.
These tears of blood I cry
Forgive them father, as I die.
