Life Is Improbable
Let Madness compete
with the guy up the street.
He's been wide-eyed for days
and refuses to sleep.
Let Joyful reside
somewhere close to the tide
where the sun's honest rays
leave her nothing to hide.
Let Anger reap woe
for the losses he sowed,
and the grief that will stay
until Sensitive goes.
Let Genius prepare--
don the mask he will wear
and compose what he'll say
when the Stupid get there.
Let Loyal rejoice
for her powerful choice:
bright as first light of day,
resonant as her voice.
Let Reality hide
for the downtrodden tribe
who would keep her at bay
during uncertain times.
Let Kinship remain
when all others are slain.
As your countenance frays
she's there sharing your pain.
Insanity, happiness,
rage and intelligence--
steadfast, illogical,
life is improbable.
