Rivers' Bend
A place A compass In direction we now lean
We need our bend in the river Our wooded scene
Like others that have come before
Protecting our valued afore
We are returning to our source The Eternal light
The essence of the pastors force Equal to our fight
We need our bend in the river Our wooded scene
What's been said is vague Simple and quite trite
The bend in the river funnels our sight
Pleas empty unless fostered by empathy
How we receive them shapes our humanity
Our judgment be not clouded Lest speeches that stir
Homage to the expendable Who we once were
We need our bend in the river Our wooded scene
A school of thought That 'We Get As Far As We Venture'
Ever downstream The river sings in surreal splendor
Our river shares not Our past direction Last known
River bends revealing Directions leading home
The waterwheel Rustling water Showers us in sound
Drowning the vast world out Numbing us to places found
Defend our bend in the river Our wooded scene
This moment crawls then Releases us our 'Rivers Bend'
