funny thing is Its saturday and winter but I love the creeks through town...down our way they would have speckled and rainbow..out west they fly fish....and fishing is an art...Just remembered fishing..havent dont this for years....I had a good rod that someone gave me...worth one hundred twenty dollars...but U have to fish from gov wharf...my place is seven klicks cross town in summer...and u need a liscence...so i pawned it..someone would get a nice combo..and I dont know the good places up here...they are far away...on a bike..like a two hour peddle which was nothing I know back in the old days! ha.....speckles are beautiful! I remember my mom trimming em up on the little submarine table...those enamel topped tables with small cutlery drawer with real ginham oil skin cover atop..the speckles lit up with light coming down through the hemlock and maple by our spring pump at the cottage...He worked the rail and then after drive the sixty five mercury meteor to a creek..walk in a short distance and chillax....we would cook them up on the little firepit wrapped in butter..onions spices in tinfoil.....later go for a swim....stand about the fire and head in for television circa 1974 I was ten!
