BETWEEN SUMMER AND WINTER

The last ragged leaves of green
are turning now to gold
on the boomer generation's tree
as all save I are getting old
with things which hang unevenly

Our autumn has slipped up on us
as summers fade into the past
quickly becoming old folks' lore
as children turn adult too fast
let's go check out the Scooter Store *

* H.....e.....i.....s.....h *

complex tapestries weave
helix in their coils
dissuading the temporal heart
leaping in ballet fronds

her cascade colic laugh

"Perjury" cries this out
saute hazy drama dream
while dirty feet skips
down stairs with weathered
key scored ballastrade
her legs of flashing ivory
jimmeying key chords
down
every
second
step

and my heart soars
in her aria's
like the rush of fractions
she swears when she
scores

PATCHWORK QUILT--second update

PATCHWORK QUILT

colors fading
into grey
edges frayed
and stitches torn
to undone
no use to anyone
pieces old and worn
good to clean up.
metamorphsis into rag
then to ashes
then to dust.

let me return

from stilted quick speech confined to city
voices colliding in too close a dance
to the friendly coo-ee of vibrant countryside
deep echo resounding through open expanse

from frozen, detached and phlegmatic concrete
with surreal hum that starves the soul
to animated murals of ever-changing landscapes
as seasons give birth to their respective goals

frizzled

No one has the right
to question an author
why he wrote such and such,
you have no power to comment
on ones character,
twill be considered blasphemy
and ye all ought to know it.

yet all folks have the birthright to condemn,
within frames of decency
then say what one may
but wait what authority
in heaven or earth
does bestow upon you
the power to judge

you are just another self centered identity
this much said should be sufficient,
for bloated personalities

5-7-5 Haiku (an attempt)

The sun quietly
tiptoed on the sky's dark page
then a new dawn smiled.

Pomme

the red fierce bride
by her tigers side

longing flesh bitten forbidden

she comes astride
the bold arch
the rivers pride

Eighteen Again

No words can ensnare the soft waves
of ecstasy that break the shores of our bodies
It is as twilight at dusk and dawn
where the creamy orange flame of day
meets the blue-black velvet sky
When truth is rich in the quiet moments
and whispers of passion are released
through primal cries of pleasure
and eyes are held wide open
to catch the fringed outlines
of youthful fire and smiles
that hold a lifetime of hidden desires
