THE ROBOT AND SUPERCONSCIOUSNESS
I have worn robes
of different hues
styles and genres
but alas
only the one
fits
I have to discard
those robes
which I am so
attached to
and obsessed by
Now I realise
despite my attachment
to them
how ill fitting
and unbecoming
they are
In spite
of their colours
their dazzle
their allurement
something just
doesn't add up
Now
I cannot wait
to be adorned
in the new robe
I can see it
I can feel it
I can all but
touch
its intangibility
So inviting
so alluring
It beckons
me
but I must not
rush into it
The movement
gained by previous
thrusts
is still to acquire
an inner stillness
I must die
a mega death
that will
perpetuate a
rebirth -
a rebirth
that will stretch
like a brilliant rainbow
from horizon
to horizon

Leonard...
This is as fine a soliloquy as I have seen. Please do not let it end here, don't leave us in suspense.
Describe the joy that the actual acquisition of the new robe brings. Great work! ~ Gee

Thanks Geezer
I am glad you like this piece. Actually I tend to become a bit too prolix while writing. I find it difficult to stop myself but I will look into the possibility of expanding this piece.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting and your appreciation.

You have ventured into a new territory and realm, as much as I could perceive, which I guess is about transition from the material life to a spiritual consciousness. I notice few areas, such as tense, which I am sure would catch your attention and tidy up when you edit this rough draft. In any case, it did not affect the pleasure of connecting with the essence of your nice poem.

Wonderful
piece of writng Leonard. Most Sufi like, and one which will be read many times! So much on offer here!
I Am - not this temporary physical vehicle. It is merely rented and enables me to navigate and experience what is on offer on the physical plane. Lenny is a temporary charcter I Am is currently playing, when I exit this physical overcoat I Am will not be Lenny.
What a Beautiful stage we are performing on!

"Death" is nonsense: what is there to die?
"Life"? How could " life" "die"? That is a contradiction
in terms. Can "light" become "darkness"?
"Light" can only cease to be apparent

Thanks Lenny
for your insightful comment. Life and its purpose runs far deeper than we can ever imagine. Most of the time, most of us, live only on the periphery. It is indeed important to dive below the surface and try to understand, through intuition, what lies in its depths.
