drive to the coast
steady rumble of stones on the undercarraige thrown by the tires
the passing of great lumber hauling pulp trucks moose bars on
their giant grills spotlights of their bumperss three of us in
a regualr sized sedan seeking cold atlantic water and cousins
the highway through New Brunswick wide and far hours and
hours of trees swamps and nothingingness
we passed a truck that had drifted off the road and gone
in aways still standing three wreckers hooked up to it to
try to pull it from the muck that was the most exciting we
saw in five hours of driving
