sleep well beneath the chest of winter
her hoard of summer dreamers
murmuring in the limbs and boughs
of her sheltered lair
let her hard jewelled moon
turn the clock of rest
opulent icy glimmer
on bowed brown heads
come wamer months
awake again
to greet a new years
gathering of mystic
and old loves
